Emirates Old Trafford is delighted to have been shortlisted for the ‘Most Versatile Venue’ award at the Conference & Event Awards.
The Most Versatile Award – Over 500 Theatre Style category - recognises the best venues in the UK and the category is judged on the facilities, innovation and customer support that the venue provides to event organisers and delegates.
Historically known as the home of Lancashire Cricket Club, and one of the UK's leading international cricket stadiums, Emirates Old Trafford boasts a range of award-winning conference and events facilities - including a four star 150-bedroom Hilton Garden Inn on-site - making it one of the most all-encompassing venues in Manchester.
With spaces such as The Point - the iconic glass-fronted suite with a balcony overlooking the famous Lancashire Cricket pitch - Emirates Old Trafford is a versatile venue, with capacity for 10 to 2,000 guests, and welcomes over 450,000 visitors annually in events ranging from international and domestic cricket, concerts (including four sell-out gigs in 2022), weddings, to corporate meetings.
The latest redevelopment at the venue includes plans for a new 1,042-seater stand, a 100-room hotel extension, a new conference and events space housing an additional 175 additional guests, as well as enhanced facilities such as a museum experience and retail store. Since planning permission was granted last summer the project, which is set for completion later next year, has continued at pace, with the foundations already being put into place for the latest construction work to begin.

The Conference Awards celebrates the successes of the venues and teams who are responsible for delivering events and takes place on Friday 1 July, when the winners will be announced.
