The full schedule for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 has been confirmed following the conclusion of the Qualifiers in Nepal last month with five fixtures taking place at Old Trafford Cricket Ground. Seven different nations will travel to Manchester, including previous ICC Women’s T20 World Cup champions, Australia.
Joining tournament hosts England are Bangladesh, Ireland, the Netherlands and Scotland, who each secured their place after an intense qualification campaign that showcased the strength and depth of the global women’s game. It also marks a historic moment for the European nations as they account for a third of the competing teams in this year’s tournament.
The first match at Old Trafford will see two sides who are fresh off successful qualifying campaigns go head-to-head as Scotland take on Ireland on Saturday 13 June as Lancashire and Scotland stars Ailsa Lister, Darcey Carter and Olivia Bell take on their Lancashire teammate and Ireland captain Gaby Lewis. Later that day as part of a double-header, a blockbuster clash will take place with the formidable Australia facing South Africa in a fixture not to be missed.
South Africa will then head back to Old Trafford to play India on Sunday 21 June in a repeat of the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Final, before India return on Thursday 25 June to face Bangladesh. The last action of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 at Old Trafford promises drama, as the final group stage fixture will see Scotland take on Sri Lanka under the lights on Friday 26 June.

Lancashire batter and Ireland captain Gaby Lewis said: “This summer’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is a massive moment for Irish cricket, and to lead Ireland out at Old Trafford will make it even more special. It’s not often you get to play a World Cup at a ground that feels like home.
“Since joining Lancashire last September, everyone at the Club has been brilliant. We’ve created some great memories already, and I’m excited for what’s still to come.
“I can’t wait to be back in April for the Red Rose and then return in June in an Ireland shirt. To play on the world stage at a venue that means so much to me will be incredibly proud moment.”
Lancashire and Scotland international Ailsa Lister said: “Old Trafford has been my second home since 2024, so representing Scotland there at a T20 World Cup is a huge honour. Walking out at my home ground on that stage will be really special.
“Qualifying for the tournament was a massive achievement, and the fact it’s being held so close to home makes it even better.
“To have friends, family and travelling Scottish fans in the stands will be amazing. We’re determined to make it a World Cup to remember.”

Bangladesh captain, Nigar Sultana Joty, said: “We’re really happy to have qualified for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. I’m incredibly proud of the way the team performed, dominating in every game.
“We have never played in England before so we’re excited but know it’s going to be a big challenge. We can’t wait for the big event and we’re going to prepare ourselves with everything we have, play our best cricket and win games for our country.”
Beth Barrett-Wild, ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Tournament Director, said: “Huge congratulations to Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands for earning their World Cup spots through a hard-fought and competitive qualifying event. We’re delighted to now confirm our full schedule and set the stage for a tournament that will not only showcase the very best of the women’s game but also ignite some home nation rivalry when England take on Scotland at Headingley on 20 June.
