Prospects of Play: Manchester Super Giants vs Birmingham Phoenix

With the changeable weather and varying forecasts in Manchester over the next few hours, this page will keep you up to date with the latest conditions at the ground ahead of the scheduled start of play.

The women's match is scheduled to start at 11am with the men's at 2:30pm.

14:25pm - We have a confirmed toss time of 14:30 and a start time of 15:00.

14:00pm - We have a delayed toss but the covers are coming off. We await further updates.

13:20pm - The sun is out as we get within an hour of the start of the men's game. There are currently no further updates, with the covers on.

12:30pm - The women's game has been abandoned. We now await further updates on the prospect of play for the men's game. 

12:05pm - There is no let up of rain, we continue to have no further updates.

11:35am - The rain has resumed and the umpires are in discussion with the ground staff. 

11:30am - The umpires are out for a pitch inspection with things beginning to brighten up.

10:50am - It is still raining here in Manchester, sadly. Hopefully it will stop raining and umpires will be able to inspect.

10:15am - The umpires have confirmed that there will be a delayed start for the women's match, given the current conditions.

10am - No update on conditions here unfortunately.

9:30am - Good morning from Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground where it is currently raining. Gates are now open.
