Manchester Originals’ fixtures have been announced for the return of The Hundred this summer, with Emirates Old Trafford once again hosting four match days packed with exciting cricket, world-class players and family entertainment.

The men’s and women’s campaign will kick off with a home double header at Emirates Old Trafford on Wednesday 6 August against Southern Brave, before a trip to the capital to face Oval Invincibles three days later.

The following week, Manchester Originals will take on local rivals Northern Superchargers on Sunday 17 August at Emirates Old Trafford, in what will be another unmissable moment in Manchester’s summer calendar. The Northern Derby game has sold out in every season of The Hundred so far, whilst the women’s fixture saw an attendance of 11,625 in 2024 marking the largest ever crowd for a women’s fixture at Emirates Old Trafford. Australian superstar Beth Mooney made history in that game by scoring 99 – the highest score in The Hundred 2024 across both the men’s and women’s competitions.

The women’s team will be led by new Head Coach Michael Klinger who brings a wealth of experience and an impressive record in franchise cricket around the world. The men’s squad will see fellow Australian Simon Katich continue in the role for a fourth season, after leading the Originals to consecutive finals in 2022 and 2023.

Both Manchester Originals teams will hope to make it all the way to Lord’s for The Hundred Final on Sunday 31 August, the culmination of 34 matchdays across 27 days of high-quality sport and compelling drama.

This season, for the first time, direct signings have been permitted in The Hundred. Teams in the men’s and women’s competitions will be able to sign one new overseas player by Deadline Day on 24 February.

Manchester Originals have confirmed that overseas star Amelia Kerr has signed as The Hundred’s first-ever direct signing. The New Zealand leg-spinner joins Originals as one of the best all-rounders in the world, fresh off winning the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2024.

England Captain Jos Buttler, who made the final as part of Manchester Original’s team in 2022 and 2023, has also been retained for the new season and is excited at the prospect of playing in The Hundred again: “I was gutted to miss last year’s Hundred campaign, so I’m really excited at the prospect of joining up with Manchester Originals again this summer.

"Emirates Old Trafford is an amazing place to play cricket, especially during The Hundred with the atmosphere our fans create, which plays a key part in giving us a real home advantage.

“It’s a competition that I always look forward to playing in and we will be working hard as a group to get back to where we were in 2023 when we came so close in the men’s final at Lord’s and hopefully, we can go one better this summer.”
