Emirates Old Trafford is proud to welcome the UK Events Summit 2021 to its award-winning conference venue on December 15.
The annual event, which serves to facilitate the sharing of best practice across the diverse range of event-focused communities in the UK, returns to a face-to-face format in 2021 and has selected Emirates Old Trafford, which has a track record in delivering high-profile events in a Covid-secure environment, as it's host venue. It is the first time ever that the sport and music communities have been formally invited to share ideas and inspiration as well as to find ways of coordinating and collaborating in person.
This year's event will see some of the biggest names in sport and entertainment feature with the likes of the Jockey Club, Commonwealth Games 2022, RLWC21, The FA, The LTA, GB Cycling, Premiership Rugby, eSports events and the UK's biggest and most successful festivals - and their sponsors, providing speakers for a range of workshops, panel discussions and keynote sessions during the day-long event.
We are delighted to announce that Figen Murray will also be providing her story on the journey towards the all-important Martyn's Law.
The event is run in partnership with the Women's Sports Alliance (WSA) which will be running a tangential programme of content and finish the day with the WSA Awards Celebration, recognising inspirational individuals in women’s' sport.
At a time of significant challenge and continued uncertainty for the broad and diverse UK Event ecosystem; ranging from air shows to festivals, sports events to business and local authority conferences and expos, the December event will give delegates the chance to meet physically and renew or build new relationships.
Commenting on the announcement, Andy Rice, Chief Operating Officer at organisers, Major Events International, said: "We are delighted that Emirates Old Trafford will provide a first-class backdrop to this year's UK Events Summit. Our mission is to provide a platform for our delegates and speakers to leave with greater knowledge, inspiration and a lot more friends and potential partners. Fresh from the Covid pandemic, which provided us all with a challenge like no other, we want to support the industry and ensure that everyone finds success moving forwards. We have a world-class line up of speakers confirmed who will share insights on the very latest thinking in this incredible industry."
Angela Hodson, Sales Director, at Emirates Old Trafford said: "We are thrilled to be welcoming the UK Events Summit to Emirates Old Trafford. This is a high-profile event and one that we are very closely aligned to as a venue operator. It's a joy to welcome back face-to-face events and it's a testament to the work that has gone on at the venue during the pandemic, which includes hosting behind-closed-doors International cricket in a bio-secure environment, that we are being selected for such prestigious conferences and events. We're looking forward to working alongside the team at Major Events International to deliver an incredible day for our visitors and guests.
