Emirates Old Trafford is delighted to announce that it has secured the ‘We’re Good To Go’ Covid-19 consumer mark and industry standard, created by Visit Britain. The mark recognises organisations who have met Government and industry Covid-19 guidelines and provides a ‘ring of confidence’ for the sector as the industry works towards reopening on 1 October.
The ‘We’re Good To Go’ status supports the venue’s new health and safety strategy, Safe In One Place, which has been designed to highlight the unique offering that the all-encompassing venue has as everything visitors need is all in one place.
Having recently staged the West Indies and Pakistan in a behind-closed-doors Test matches, which saw the venue work closely with the ECB and Government, Emirates Old Trafford has already introduced a number of safety protocols and procedures, which have been subject to rigorous testing, and is further supported by Hilton’s industry leading ‘Hilton CleanStay’ initiative.
Commenting on the status, Sales Director, Angela Hodson, said: “We’re pleased that the work that we have been doing at Emirates Old Trafford to make the venue safe has been recognised by the ‘We’re Good To Go’ standard.
“With hosting behind-closed-doors cricket and working closely with the ECB and health officials to ensure that the venue is bio-secure, we’ve already implemented effective protocols to ensure visitors to the site are safe and confident in us.
“The status also supports our new Safe In One Place policy, which has been designed to reassure organisers and visitors and highlights the safety measures we have implemented at Emirates Old Trafford.
“With the Hilton CleanStay initiative in place across the hotel as well, we are confident that we will be delivering events to the highest standard possible.”
The venue has implemented safety procedures including; health and thermal screening; providing PPE for all visitors and staff on-site; enhanced sterile preparation measures for food delivered on-site; social distancing measures and increased sanitisers at key touchpoints.
