As with many businesses and venues across the UK, Emirates Old Trafford continues to monitor the situation of Covid-19 and the impact on our own employees, visitors to the stadium and our on-site Hilton Garden Inn, as well as the local community in accordance with Public Health England.
The Government guidance remains unchanged and Emirates Old Trafford will be operating as normal across the business.
We have introduced proactive measures across the venue to help prevent the spread of the virus and protect the health of our employees and visitors. This includes additional cleaning services and the installation of further hand sanitisers and antibacterial handwash in all the washrooms at Emirates Old Trafford, as well as information posters reinforcing the official medical advice for all those on site.
Furthermore, we have cancelled any staff travel to high-risk countries and continue to remind all staff of good hygiene practices throughout Emirates Old Trafford.
The safety and welfare of delegates attending events at Emirates Old Trafford is of paramount importance to us and we will continue to monitor the situation, making informed decisions based on the guidance available to us from the World Health Organisation and Public Health England.
Whilst Emirates Old Trafford has great transport links to and from the venue with the tram stop and Manchester Airport both close by, if delegates are concerned about using public transport, the venue has 700 on-site car parking spaces available.
Angela Hodson, Sales Director, said: “While we appreciate the outbreak of Coronavirus is a concern for many, at Emirates Old Trafford we’re urging event organisers and attendees to remain calm.
“Emirates Old Trafford will be operating as normal and the safety and wellbeing of everyone at our venue is our main priority and we will take all necessary precautions to ensure continued welfare for those at the venue.
“We are committed to making Emirates Old Trafford as safe a venue as possible and we do have extra precautions in place, including additional cleaning services, hand sanitising stations located throughout the venue, as well as NHS information posters on best hygienic practices.
“For any organisers who would like any further information about their event at the venue, please speak to your dedicated Event Coordinator, who will be more than happy to discuss any concerns you may have.
“We are following the advice provided to us by Public Health England, as well as continuing to monitor and assess the situation and we’d recommend anyone who is concerned about the virus to speak to a health professional.
“We’re proud to be part of a global community that thrives on building meaningful relationships and are committed to supporting our industry, as both a host venue for events and continuing our attendance at major trade shows.”
