Top Ten Christmas Anthems

The office Christmas party is one of the most highly anticipated events in the calendar, but there’s much debate about the best songs to play that will get the whole office on the dancefloor.

That’s why we’ve created a list of the top ten Christmas anthems. So, whether you’re hosting your own private party or want to request a song from our Resident DJ, get your dancing shoes at the ready for an unforgettable night.

  • Fairytale of New York – The Pogues

Grab the nearest person, colleague or friend, get them up on the dancefloor and enjoy a sing song.

  • All I want for Christmas is you – Mariah Carey

Is Christmas even Christmas without this song? Guaranteed to make every party night a success, no matter how many times it is played.

  • Merry Xmas Everybody – Slade

It’s Chriiiiiistmaaaaasssss! Everyone will get up on their feet for this one. Be ready for some first class moves when it hits the chorus.

  • Last Christmas – Wham

George Michael’s 80s swish side step can get its annual showcase with this song. Be prepared to belt out some heartfelt lyrics to this one.

  • Merry Christmas Everyone – Shakin’ Stevens

This is probably one of the most jovial of Christmas tunes, so get ready to toast the night and look out for the inevitable dad dancing.

  • Wonderful Christmas Time – Paul McCartney

Simply having a wonderful Christmas time – it sums up Christmas in a nutshell.

  • Wish it could be Christmas every day – Wizzard

One of the top Christmas anthems which bring back the childhood memories of tearing open presents or signing at the top of your voice.

  • Santa Claus is comin’ to town – Jackson 5

The soulful tune of the Jackson 5 will get the whole crowd bopping. An upbeat favourite, get ready to work off those mince pies from dessert!

  • Jingle Bell Rock – Brenda Lee

There’s something very festive about Brenda Lee’s dulcet tones, and jingle bell rock is a classic.

  • Stay another day – East Seventeen

Although not a traditional Christmas song, it would be rude not to end the night with this song. The lights go up slowly with your friends and colleagues singing until the last note.

So, get your dancing shoes in hand and get ready to party the night away with these classics.
