There's many factors to consider when you book and organise an event. Selecting the right venue is crucial to its success, as it needs to have enough space for the number of guests, as well as encompassing the right facilities to suit your needs.
When booking an event, you'll want to know what to expect from the process. We've rounded up what you can expect when you book an event with us at Emirates Old Trafford.
When you’re looking at different venues that will meet your requirements, you’ll submit an event enquiry, outlining the brief of the meeting, event or conference, as well as a selection of dates that you’d like to book. Initially, you will be liaising with our event sales team.
Ensuring you select the right venue to accommodate your event, meeting or conference is crucial. If your space is too small, your delegates may feel uncomfortable and not engage, too big and it will feel empty. You may also need to consider breakout space available for small group meetings, interviews or a concurring conference.
You’ll also want the venue to be appropriate for your event. To optimise success, the event has to be in a location that has, or can be adapted to create, the atmosphere that you want.

Our expert in-house Events Team will consider your requirements and create a bespoke proposal for your event, recommending the ideal space to accommodate all your needs and will hold the date in the diary. This will provide an opportunity to follow up with any initial questions that you may want clarification on.
Visiting Emirates Old Trafford
Once you’ve reviewed the proposal, you’ll meet with your dedicated sales agent and have the opportunity to view the space. Our team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and advise of how best to utilise our suites.
Our intelligent event spaces cater from 10 to 1,200 people, whether you’re planning an exhibition and conference in The Point, a smaller board meeting in the Boardroom or one of our Executive Boxes or an awards dinner in our Members’ Suite situated in the Pavilion, we have a variety of award-winning spaces to suit your needs.
When you’re ready to complete the booking of your event, you’ll be sent contracts to confirm your space and get everything booked in.
Upon receipt of the signed contracts, you’ll then liaise with one of our experienced Event Coordinators, who will manage all the finer details of your event including; timings, AV requirements, catering and refreshments, lighting, theming etc. We can also arrange menu tastings should you need to narrow down a few options, for example, for a gala dinner or annual celebration.
On the day of your event, you will be greeted by a dedicated Duty Manager, who will manage the delivery and ensure everything is running smoothly.
If you have any questions on the day, your Duty Manager will be on hand to organise and manage any last minute changes to ensure an efficient process.
