Emirates Old Trafford will welcome pupils from Seymour Park Community Primary School to the ground as part of the school’s ‘Enterprise Essentials Perfect Pitch Day’ on Wednesday 13th June.
The event, in the style of the popular television programme Dragon’s Den, will see the children pitch their own unique ideas to a range of local businesses.
Starting at 10am and running all day, the event will primarily take place in the UA92 Player and Media Centre, one of Emirates Old Trafford’s flexible conference and event spaces.
Marks & Spencer and Costa Coffee White City have confirmed their support for this event and will be providing refreshments for the occasion. Hobs Reprographics in Manchester have supported the children’s designs and printed the school graphic designs for the event to promote the sponsors.
Natalie Turner, Year 6 teacher from Seymour Park Community Primary School, who is leading the ‘Enterprise Essentials’ project said: “The children are extremely excited to have their 'special moment' of pitching their product at such a fantastic local venue.”
Those attending from local businesses include Eddie Austin from Nullam Careers Limited and Richard Turvey, founder and owner of Visibility, a Business Solutions company who are sponsoring the event; Michelle Ball, Managing Director of Inflatanation; Andrew Brown, Store Manager of Stretford Extra TESCO; Kimberley Waldron, Director and Co-founder at SkyParlour; Clare Coria, Manager of La Casita Mexican restaurant; Simon Roberts- McBride, Manager of Costa Coffee White City; Tony Pope, Director of Crash Cushion Rental Solutions and TSO Labour Ltd and Tina Tomlinson and Jayne Dickinson, Heads of School at Seymour Park with the Chair of Governors and local councillor Anne Duffield and governor Aine Graven, will also offer their views on the pupils’ ideas. The Mayor of Trafford Councillor, Tom Ross is also supporting the event.
