‘Tis the season to be jolly, and there is no better way to experience real festive cheer than with a visit to Manchester.

Whether you’re visiting the city for a day, or looking to make a weekend of it, we’ve got you covered. Our Hilton Garden Inn offers the perfect setting for you to unwind, and is ideally situated for your visit.

Get your glad rags on for a night on the town, or simply relax in the comfort of your cosy room. Our Christmas elves are here to get you into the spirit and round-up the top things to do this winter.

Manchester Christmas Markets

Hurry down to the heart of Manchester this winter and visit the award-winning Christmas Markets that offer mouth-watering international food, drinks and delicately crafted Yuletide gifts. Follow the market trail through the city centre and explore more than 300 beautiful stalls and chalets.

Sample the different cuisines on offer, such as the delicious traditional bratwurst, Hungarian goulash, Spanish paella or a good old fashioned hog roast. And, for those looking for a vegetarian or gluten free alternative, there’s plenty of options to whet your appetite.

The Christmas markets run from Friday 9th November – Saturday 22nd December.

Santa’s Grotto

Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

Make it a family experience to remember and discover the magic of the North Pole, with a visit to Santa’s Grotto.

Enjoy whizzing down the Downhill Donuts, racing on sledges on Sledge ‘o’ Mania or brave the Luge Slip ‘n’ Slide at the Chill Factore in Trafford Quays Leisure Village.

And, don’t forget to be on your best behaviour when you meet Santa to let him know what you want for Christmas, as he knows if you’ve been naughty or nice!

Open from 17th November 2018 – 24th December 2018.

Wicked the Musical

No Christmas is complete without a visit to the theatre, so fly down to the Palace Theatre to see a witty re-imagining of the stories and characters created by L. Frank Baum in ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’.

Wicked tells the incredible untold story of an unlikely but profound friendship between two young women who first meet as sorcery students. Their extraordinary adventures in Oz will ultimately see them fulfil their destinies as Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Prepare to see some truly wonderful magic – there’s no place like Manchester!
