Emirates Old Trafford welcomes Aroma with a national first

Emirates Old Trafford, home to Lancashire Cricket Club, is delighted to announce Aroma as its new official coffee supplier.

The Italian brand is part of The Nero Roasting Company, which opened a Caffè Nero at the venue in February this year. Aroma coffee is 100% Arabica and Rainforest Alliance Certified, sourced from the best growing regions in South and Central America by a team of experts.

To celebrate the announcement, Emirates Old Trafford became the first in the country to serve Aroma at a conference, when it treated delegates at the ‘Xperiology Ticketing Business Forum’ to an exclusive taste, during #UKCoffeeWeek.

From June, the coffee will be served across all meetings, conferences and events at the award winning Emirates Old Trafford, as well as within cricket hospitality areas and throughout the Hilton Garden Inn hotel.

Alan Reeve, Aroma Business Manager, said: “Caffè Nero was delighted to get the opportunity to open a store at Emirates Old Trafford, and we’re now really excited to launch the Aroma brand too.

“For us, Lancashire Cricket is leading the way with its approach to coffee quality throughout the entire stadium. The requirement to have a great tasting coffee at every turn, and their desire to use fully compostable cups made this an opportunity for us that we embraced with open arms.”

Operations Director at Lancashire Cricket Club, Anthony Mundy, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Aroma into the Emirates Old Trafford family. As a venue, we’re constantly looking at ways in which we can improve our guests’ experience, whether that be for business or leisure, and it’s been great to see delegates enjoying the new coffee this week.

“We have a fantastic relationship with The Nero Roasting Company, which has soared in recent months with the success of our new Caffè Nero store, and we’re looking forward to continuing this in the future.”

Ian Nuttall, Xperiology CEO, who operated The Ticketing Business Forum, said: “At Xperiology we arrange a vast amount of conferences and events and this is the first time we’ve not had a single complaint about the coffee.

“It’s a bit like the WiFi and the plumbing – you only hear about it when something’s wrong. So, for all of our delegates from right around the world to have enjoyed so much, that’s a huge success.”

When Aroma officially launches at the start of June, it will be accessible across 3,600m2 of event spaces, which can cater for up to 2,000 people, from small meetings, to large exhibitions and hospitality. Cricket fans will also be purchase Aroma coffee in the members’ areas and on the concourse.

Upcoming fixtures at Emirates Old Trafford include England vs Australia Royal London ODI on Sunday 24 June, England vs India Vitality IT20 on Tuesday 3 July and Lancashire Lightening vs Yorkshire Vikings in the T20 Vitality Blast on Friday 20 July.
