Emirates Old Trafford celebrates new Caffè Nero

Emirates Old Trafford's new Caffè Nero officially opened its doors this morning!

  • Emirates Old Trafford opened the doors to a new Caffè Nero this morning (Friday 9 February) at 8am
  • The shop is accessible from Brian Statham Way and will benefit both visitors to the venue and local area
  • The latest addition to the venue follows last year’s completion of a £60m redevelopment project
  • To celebrate, Caffè Nero offered FREE drinks to coffee lovers between 8am – 10am

Emirates Old Trafford celebrated further expansion today (9 February 2018), as it opened the doors to a new Caffè Nero with FREE drinks for customers.

The coffee house, which directly links the stadium, Hilton Garden Inn hotel and Brian Statham Way, served almost 200 customers with a range of award-winning food and beverages, before 10am.

Located at the home of Lancashire Cricket, the project stands at 170m2, and once inside, customers can benefit from the usual warm Caffè Nero welcome, plenty of seating to enjoy the traditional Italian espresso based drinks and a range of food, including pastries baked fresh in store, delicious lunch options and indulgent cakes.

Emirates Old Trafford’s latest addition follows on from a string of redevelopment projects, including the new four star Hilton Garden Inn, which opened in September 2017.

Lancashire Cricket CEO, Daniel Gidney, said: “It’s been great to welcome so many customers to the new Caffè Nero today and we’re looking forward to growing our relationship with them over the coming months.

“It’s been a very exciting year for Emirates Old Trafford, with the introduction of our new hotel and we’re now, more than ever, a fully encompassing venue for sport, business and leisure.

“It was important for us to fill the vacant space with an offering that could be enjoyed by hotel guests, business delegates, cricket supporters and the general public – from the reaction today, we’re confident that Caffè Nero was the right choice!”

Lancashire Cricket Club Members can also benefit from a 10% discount, when they present their membership card in store.

Caffè Nero’s Head of Marketing, Marcus Denison-Smith, said: “Manchester was the first city outside London where Caffè Nero opened, so we’re really excited to extend our relationship with the city by working with Lancashire Cricket Club to serve its members, staff and general public visiting this historic, but modernised ground.”

The Caffè Nero at Emirates Old Trafford will be open Monday – Sunday, 7am – 7pm*.
