A new Catena Cricket event is set to come to Emirates Old Trafford after Lancashire County Cricket Club entered into a partnership with nationwide “business dating service” The Catena Network.
The event, on 28th January, will run from 6-8pm and will be held in The Williams BMW Suite, at Emirates Old Trafford.
The speaker will be former England cricketer and Lancashire’s Cricket Director and Head coach Ashley Giles.
Following on from Lancashire’s promotion to the First Division of the County Championship and their NatWest T20 Blast success in his first season in charge, Giles is well placed to deliver the presentation “Preparing for Success” – relevant to both sport and business.
Giles said: “I’m delighted to be able to speak at the upcoming Catena event. There are a lot of parallels between a successful business and a successful cricket team, and I think both the sporting and business worlds can learn much from each other. It promises to be a great evening, and I look forward to welcoming everyone to Emirates Old Trafford.”
This is the latest event in the Catena Cricket series. Catena is an independent networking business, building relationships with businesses across the country by partnering with county cricket clubs.
Catena, which has 163 members and has seen transactions between these members top the £500,000 mark since it was set up in September 2013, currently has six county cricket clubs signed up as part of a specialist offshoot – Catena Cricket.
Claire Bicknell, founder of Catena, said: “I am keen to put together a network that works to assist businesses build relationships across the UK.
“I think that all business owners will appreciate that the good times are precarious so if there is an opportunity for businesses to develop relationships with businesses outside their immediate region that may protect a trade in the future.”
Warren Hegg, Business Development Manager at Lancashire, said: “We want to welcome as many businesses in to Emirates Old Trafford as possible to sample the facilities on offer at the venue.
“I feel the backdrop of cricket offers a unique space for businesses to meet, be creative and network.”
Please email Claire Bicknell if you would like to attend this event and include the names and contact details of any guests you would like to invite.
