The Automobile Association held their 10th Annual Awards Ceremony in The Point earlier this summer and their Communications & Engagement Manager, Diane Walsh commented:

Versatility is the name of the game and not only can The Point host all the above, but it’s also the location for our 2016 Christmas Supernova Party Nights, and during the summer months it will transform again into the perfect space to host top of the range hospitality during our International Test Matches and concerts.
This striking venue is certainly eye-catching and can meet virtually any need with its enormous seven metre windows which allow unrivalled and unimpeded panoramic views of the cricket pitch.
The Point is sub-divisible into three areas, ideal for large events that need separate rooms of smaller functions and can be easily combined with our Pavilion (sitting next door and accessible via a bridge link) for larger events that need extra break out space.
The Point has four floors which house a cloakroom, main reception, atrium bar, main space, balcony and a mezzanine bar and is easily accessible with lifts to all floors.
The Point can be configures as follows (using all four sections):
- Capacity for 1,200 theatre style
- Capacity for 720 cabaret style
- Capacity for 400 classroom style
- Capacity for 1,000 for a dinner
- Capacity for 1,300 for a drinks reception
As you would expect, the clever design of The Point includes many facilities not always available at every venue including moveable interior walls, a separate mezzanine bar, outside balcony with stunning views, blackout facility, an organiser’s office and much more.
